WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., also known as FBLA, 17
is a nonprofit educational organization whose first high school chapter was 18
established in Johnson City, Tennessee, in 1942; and 19
20
WHEREAS, Iowa became the first state chapter of Future Business Leaders 21
of America, Inc., in 1947; and 22
23
WHEREAS, Eureka Springs High School officially chartered its local 24
chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., on October 31, 1972; and 25
26
WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., includes more than 27
two hundred thousand (200,000) members and advisers in four thousand six 28
hundred (4,600) chapters nationwide in middle schools, high schools, 29
colleges, universities, career and technical schools, and private business 30
schools; and 31

WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., is a professional 33
business organization dedicated to bringing business and education together 34
in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career 35
development programs; and 36 SR14

WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., members perform 2
community service activities and strive to build a student's understanding of 3
the realities of the modern business world; and 4

WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., teaches middle 6
school, high school, and college students basic business and leadership 7
principles and assists them in the transition from school to work; and 8

WHEREAS, the Eureka Springs chapter of Future Business Leaders of 10
America, Inc., is an active chapter and participated in the food drive this 11
past holiday season to provide meals for thirty -two (32) families this past 12
winter; and 13

WHEREAS, the Eureka Springs chapter of Future Business Leaders of 15
America, Inc., is a Champion Chapter with the Bronze designation, 16

NOW THEREFORE, 18
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 19
STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20

THAT the Senate recognize the importance and positive work and commend 22
the leaders of the Eureka Springs chapter of Future Business Leaders of 23
America, Inc., and recognize February 9 -15, 2025, as Eureka Springs FBLA 24
Week. 25

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 27
provided to the Eureka Springs chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, 28
Inc., by the Secretary of the Senate. 29
