WHEREAS, Camille Cathey of Wynne, Arkansas, was crowned Miss Arkansas 16
2024 on Friday, June 15, 2024, during the eighty -sixth Miss Arkansas 17
Scholarship Pageant held at the Robinson Center Performance Hall in Little 18
Rock; and 19

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey won the title of Miss Arkansas while competing 21
as Miss White River; and 22

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey won a scholarship for thirty thousand dollars 24
($30,000) from the Ted and Shannon Boy Skokos Foundation and more than 25
seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) in awards, wardrobe, transportation, 26
and gifts; and 27

WHEREAS, at the 2024 Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant competition, 29
Camille Cathey won several additional awards, including awards for her 30
interviews, evening gown, talent, and overall arrival; and 31

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey proudly serves in her role as Miss Arkansas 33
with a commitment to community engagement and advocacy, promoting important 34
causes, and inspiring the young people of Arkansas; and 35

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey engages in a variety of activities that include 1
school programs, public speaking engagements, media appearances, and 2
conferences, all aimed at making a positive impact in Arkansas via her 3
platform, "Proudly Volunteer"; and 4

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey represented Arkansas at the Miss America 6
pageant held in Orlando, Florida, on January 5, 2025, where she won an 7
American Heart Association Go Red For Women Leadership Award; and 8

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey is the twenty -two-year-old daughter of Dr. Jake 10
and Crystal Cathey and is a May 2024 summa cum laude graduate of the 11
University of Alabama; and 12

WHEREAS, Camille Cathey is furthering her education at the University 14
of Arkansas School of Law, 15

NOW THEREFORE, 17
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 18
STATE OF ARKANSAS: 19

THAT the Senate honor Miss Arkansas 2024 Camille Cathey. 21

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 23
presented to Miss Arkansas 2024 Camille Cathey by the Secretary of the 24
Senate. 25
