28	28	WHEREAS, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, was conceived by 26
29	29	Ethel Hedgemon Lyle and eight (8) other visionaries who resolved that their 27

32	32	WHEREAS, that small group grew to a membership of more than three 30
33	33	hundred sixty thousand (360,000) college -educated women from around the 31
34	34	world, with an active membership of one thousand seventy -four (1,074) 32
35	35	chapters of over one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) women who represent a 33

74	74	a day is designated as Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the State Capitol, drawing 34

83	83	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 5

86	86	THAT the Senate commend Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, for 8
87	87	its service work and contributions to the State of Arkansas, the south 9

89	89	February 25, 2025, as Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the State Capitol. 11
