2828 first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1974; and 26

3030 WHEREAS, the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities® to provide 28
3131 essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote 29
3232 healing when children need healthcare has positively impacted countless 30

3535 WHEREAS, Ronald McDonald House Charities® has continued to create new 33
3636 ways to support families along their child's healthcare journey; and 34

3838 WHEREAS, since 1974, McDonald's Corporation, its franchisees, and its 36 SR70

4141 customers have collectively donated over one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000) 1
4242 to help Ronald McDonald House Charities® serve millions of children and their 2
4343 families throughout the sixty -two (62) countries and regions in which it 3

4646 WHEREAS, Ronald McDonald House Charities® has expanded to more than 6
4747 three hundred eighty -five (385) Ronald McDonald House programs, more than two 7
4848 hundred seventy (270) Ronald McDonald Family Room programs, and more than 8
4949 forty (40) Ronald McDonald Care Mobile programs; and 9

5151 WHEREAS, six (6) Ronald McDonald House Charities® programs operate in 11
5252 Arkansas through one (1) Ronald McDonald House Charities® Chapter, providing 12
5353 direct support and comfort to three thousand five hundred eighteen (3,518) 13
5454 children and their families across the State of Arkansas annually; and 14

5656 WHEREAS, in 2023 alone, McDonald’s Corporation, along with its Arkansas 16
5757 franchisees and customers, raised more than nine hundred sixty -seven thousand 17
5858 dollars ($967,000) for the local Arkansas Ronald McDonald House Charities® 18
5959 Chapter, which is equivalent to nine thousand six hundred seventy (9,670) 19
6060 overnight stays for families at Ronald McDonald House Charities® programs in 20

6464 enhancing its programs and creating a world where all families have what they 24
