AN ACT

 

amending title 41, chapter 3, article 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41-603.02; relating to the department of veterans' services.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 41, chapter 3, article 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-603.02, to read: START_STATUTE41-603.02. State agencies; veterans status; inquiry; forms All state agencies, boards, commissions or other administrative units of this state shall: 1. Ask every individual at the initial point of service with that individual and print on each application form the following question: "Have you or a family member ever served in the military?" 2. Provide a website address and contact information for the department and for the be connected program to individuals who answer in the affirmative to the question prescribed in paragraph 1 of this section. END_STATUTE Sec. 2. Effective date This act is effective from and after December 31, 2022.  

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 41, chapter 3, article 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-603.02, to read:

All state agencies, boards, commissions or other administrative units of this state shall:

1. Ask every individual at the initial point of service with that individual and print on each application form the following question: "Have you or a family member ever served in the military?"

2. Provide a website address and contact information for the department and for the be connected program to individuals who answer in the affirmative to the question prescribed in paragraph 1 of this section. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2. Effective date

This act is effective from and after December 31, 2022.
