6666 Whereas, for the dedicated men and women who serve in our nation's armed forces, the cost of battle continues long after the last round is fired; and Whereas, veterans continue to bear the burden of the wars they fought and the wounds they carry; and Whereas, the sacred responsibility for caring for these valiant warriors falls to the veterans' families, their communities and their leaders; and Whereas, our wounded, injured and ill service members and their families need a home away from home; and Whereas, the Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where service members and veterans and their families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital. Therefore Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona: That the Members of the House of Representatives support the construction and operation of a Fisher House near the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix.
