63- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Arizona empowerment scholarship accounts; qualified students Notwithstanding section 15-2401, paragraph 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, any student who received a grant under the COVID-19 educational recovery benefit program or the open for learning recovery benefit program on or before June 30, 2022 is deemed a qualified student for the purposes of title 15, chapter 19, Arizona Revised Statutes. (EMERGENCY NOT ENACTED) Sec. 2. Emergency This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law.
