An Act

 

amending title 13, chapter 31, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-3123; relating to weapons.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 13, chapter 31, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-3123, to read: START_STATUTE13-3123. Misconduct involving storage of firearms or ammunition; civil penalty  A. a person shall not store or keep a firearm or ammunition, or both, in any residence unless the person either: 1. Keeps the firearm or ammunition, or both, in a securely locked box or equips the firearm with a device that renders the firearm inoperable without a key or combination. 2. Carries the firearm or ammunition, or both, on his person or within such close proximity to his person that the person can readily retrieve and use the firearm as if it was carried on his person. B. A person who violates this section is subject to a civil penalty of at least $1,000. END_STATUTE Sec. 2. Short title This act may be cited as "Christian's Law".
