the Secretary of State, the officer in charge of elections may authorize the use of an electronic
vote adjudication feature if:
1) The electronic vote adjudication feature is included in the tabulation system's logic and
accuracy testing;
2) The officer in charge of elections appoints an electronic vote adjudication board consisting
of specified members to determine if voter intent is clear on a portion or all of a ballot; and
3) The electronic vote adjudication process meets specified requirements, such as the
inclusion of a method to track and account for the original ballot and the digital duplicate
of the ballot (A.R.S. § 16-621).
