6666 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 23, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 23-207, to read: START_STATUTE23-207. Wage disclosure; protection; prohibitions; civil action A. An employer may not do any of the following: 1. Require as a condition of employment that an employee refrain from inquiring about, discussing or disclosing the employee's wages or the wages of another employee. 2. Require an employee to sign a waiver or other document that purports to deny the employee the right to disclose or discuss the employee's wages. 3. Discharge, formally discipline or otherwise discriminate against an employee for inquiring about, discussing or disclosing the employee's wages or the wages of another employee. B. Any employee who has been discharged, discriminated against in the terms and conditions of the employee's employment or retaliated against in the terms and conditions of the employee's employment because the employee engaged in any conduct protected under subsection A of this section may recover in a civil action reinstatement and reimbursement for lost wages and work benefits, including interest on the lost wages and work benefits, caused by the acts of the employer, as well as appropriate equitable relief. C. A civil action brought under this section shall be commenced not later than one year after the cause of action occurs. END_STATUTE
