Title 45, chapter 2, article 9, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 45-571.03, to read: START_STATUTE45-571.03. Industrial water use; conservation; efficiency A. for each initial and SUBSEQUENT active management area, the director, not later than January 1, 2025, shall Modify the fourth and fifth management plans adopted PURSUANT to sections 45-567 and 45-568 to include conservation REQUIREMENTS for INDUSTRIAL uses that are within and outside the service area of a DESIGNATED service provider and that Meet all of the following criteria: 1. are located outside the service area of a MUNICIPAL provider. 2. Beginning on the EFFECTIVE date of this section, are not subject to any conservation requirements for industrial uses PURSUANT to an active management area management plan. 3. Use greater than TWO HUNDRED fifty acre-feet of water per year. b. NOTWITHSTANDING any other law, the fourth and fifth management plans, the department, any other POLITICAL SUBDIVISION of this state or any modifications to the fourth and fifth management plans may not require a person who uses water for an industrial use to obtain a certificate of assured water supply, enroll as member land in a multi-county water conservation district or otherwise meet a REPLENISHMENT obligation pursuant to title 48, chapter 22, article 4. C. CONSERVATION REQUIREMENTS adopted PURSUANT to this section shall include on-site water reuse, RECYCLING and efficiency REQUIREMENTS. END_STATUTE |

Commercial and industrial water use; water efficiency; reuse; rules A. for each initial and SUBSEQUENT active management area, the director, not later than January 1, 2025 shall adopt Rules for COMMERCIAL and INDUSTRIAL water users within and outside the service area of a DESIGNATED service provider that provide for greater water EFFICIENCY, CONSERVATION AND on-site water reuse and RECYCLING. b. the rules adopted pursuant to this section may not require a commercial or industrial water user to obtain a certificate of assured water supply, enroll as member land in a multi-county water conservation district or otherwise meet a REPLENISHMENT obligation pursuant to title 48, chapter 22, article 4.
