(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE) Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 36, chapter 4, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-425.10, to read: START_STATUTE36-425.10. Hospitals; patient notification; sexual assault investigation process A hospital shall provide to each patient, or the patient's parent, guardian or next of kin, a document that notifies the patient that the patient has rights and choices if the patient is allegedly sexually assaulted while in the hospital, that, if the patient is allegedly sexually assaulted while in the hospital, a hospital administrator or the hospital administrator's designee will meet with the patient and explain the hospital's investigation process to the patient and that the patient may contact law enforcement at any time. END_STATUTE Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 36, chapter 4, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-425.10, to read: START_STATUTE36-425.10.
