An Act

 

amending title 13, chapter 13, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-1311; relating to kidnapping and related offenses.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 13, chapter 13, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-1311, to read: START_STATUTE13-1311. Unlawful disabling of location tracking application or function; classification; definition A. It is unlawful for a person to knowingly disable or coerce a minor to disable a location tracking application or function that is installed on the minor's electronic communication device while the person is committing or attempting to commit an offense included in this chapter and chapters 14 and 35.1 of this title. B. A violation of this section is a class 2 felony. C. For the purposes of this section, "electronic communication device" has the same meaning prescribed in section 13-3560.END_STATUTE 

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 13, chapter 13, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-1311, to read:

A. It is unlawful for a person to knowingly disable or coerce a minor to disable a location tracking application or function that is installed on the minor's electronic communication device while the person is committing or attempting to commit an offense included in this chapter and chapters 14 and 35.1 of this title.

B. A violation of this section is a class 2 felony.

C. For the purposes of this section, "electronic communication device" has the same meaning prescribed in section 13-3560.END_STATUTE
