SB 1162: telecommunications fund; report; posting

Overview 
Requires the Director of the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to post a report 
of the Telecommunications Fund (Fund) on ADOA's website.  
History 
ADOA is the administrative and business hub of state government.  ADOA provides medical 
and other health benefits to state employees, processes claims when employees get injured, 
purchases goods and services needed to conduct business, maintains office buildings for 
employees to work in and provides information technology and telecommunication services 
for employees. 
Current law stipulates the Fund be used to pay costs incurred in operating the 
Telecommunications Program Office and that the Fund be administered by ADOA. 
Additionally, the Fund is subject to annual legislative appropriation and consists of:  
1) legislative appropriations; 
2) grants, except for otherwise specifically dedicated grants, received for 
telecommunication operations, consolidation and cost reduction or cost avoidance; 
3) money derived from administering the Telecommunications Program Office; 
4) money derived from the sale or exchange of telecommunications assets or any assets 
that may be used to provide telecommunication access; and 
5) money derived from agencies and political subdivisions and other states or their 
agencies in payment for services provided by the Telecommunications Program Office 
(A.R.S. § 41-713). 
Provisions 
1. Mandates the Director of ADOA post the statutorily prescribed report for the Fund on 
their website. (Sec. 1)
