An Act

 

amending section 36-425.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to health care institutions.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Section 36-425.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read: START_STATUTE36-425.01. Home health agencies; licensure; definition A. The department by rule shall license home health agencies. The department shall prescribe a licensure period that does not exceed two years. B. In lieu of a state licensure survey, the department shall issue a license to a home health agency that submits an application prescribed by the department and that meets the following requirements: 1. Is certified as a home health agency by medicare. 2. Is licensed by the department for at least one year. 3. Meets All department licensure requirements. C. The department shall retain full authority over licensed home health agencies to ensure that licensure requirements are maintained. D. For the purposes of this section, "home health agency" has the same meaning as prescribed in section 36-151. END_STATUTE
