An Act

 

amending title 16, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-1023; relating to early ballots.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 16, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-1023, to read: START_STATUTE16-1023. Ballot receptacles; tampering; exemption; violation; classification A. A person who knowingly tampers with or opens a receptacle in which a voter or a voter's lawful agent deposits or returns a voted early ballot is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor. B. This section does not apply to an election officer acting in the course of the election officer's official duties.END_STATUTE 

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 7, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-1023, to read:
