A Concurrent Resolution
proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Arizona; amending article IX, Constitution of Arizona, by adding section 26; relating to taxation.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring: 1. Article IX, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended by adding section 26 as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor: 26. Vehicle miles traveled; taxing and monitoring prohibited Section 26. This state or any county, city, town, municipal corporation or other political subdivision of this state shall not impose a tax or fee on any person based on vehicle miles traveled or impose any rule or law to monitor or limit the vehicle miles traveled of a person in a motor vehicle. 2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:

26. Vehicle miles traveled; taxing and monitoring prohibited
Section 26. This state or any county, city, town, municipal corporation or other political subdivision of this state shall not impose a tax or fee on any person based on vehicle miles traveled or impose any rule or law to monitor or limit the vehicle miles traveled of a person in a motor vehicle.
2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
