63	69		Daniel Espinoza Hernandez passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 75. Daniel Espinoza Hernandez was born in California, but like many others, moved and found his true home in Southern Arizona. Daniel was the oldest of five children who grew up poor on a farm in California. His childhood was turbulent and full of challenges, but that did not stop him from achieving great things. In high school, Daniel was an all-star athlete and participated in football, baseball and wrestling, which earned him a scholarship to Antelope Valley College. However, Daniel was forced to drop out of college and work as a plasterer to help support his younger siblings. Daniel later made Arizona his home when he started his own construction company with his younger brother, Art. Arizona became the place where he started a family and raised his three children, whom he taught the importance of public service, honesty, integrity, hard work and the value of quality education. Daniel wanted his children to never give up and pursue their dreams and, through his teachings, his children devoted themselves to a life of public service and have all held public office. Daniel worked hard to provide for his family and made sure he was always involved in everything his family did. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish, and his three children joined him in the annual bipartisan dove hunt every year up until Daniel became too sick to participate. Those closest to Daniel knew that he was a hardcore political enthusiast and an active volunteer for the Democratic Party. He worked hard on countless political campaigns, including the campaigns of his three children. He proudly served as chairperson of the Bond Advisory Committee of the Sunnyside Unified School District for years. Finally, Daniel settled into his dream home in Green Valley, where he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Consuelo Hernandez, and his three children, Daniel, Alma and Consuelo. Therefore Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring: That the members of the Legislature express sincere regret at the death of Daniel Espinoza Hernandez and extend their deepest sympathies to his surviving family members.
