LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 1154, as amended, Audra Strickland. California Interscholastic Federation: notice of sanctions. Existing law recognizes that the California Interscholastic Federation is a voluntary organization that consists of school and school-related personnel with responsibility for administering interscholastic athletic activities in secondary schools. This bill would  require   encourage  the California Interscholastic Federation,  and its sections,  whenever  it imposes   they impose  a sanction on an interscholastic team of a member school, to post online the name of the school, the team that has been sanctioned, the violation that has occasioned the sanction, and a description of the sanction itself. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:  SECTION 1.   Section 33353.1 is added to the Education Code, to read: 33353.1.   SECTION 1.  If the California Interscholastic Federation  imposes   and its sections impose  a sanction on an interscholastic team of a member school,  it shall   they are encouraged to  post online the name of the school, the team that has been penalized, the violation that has occasioned the sanction, and a description of the sanction itself.
