Elections: poll workers. Existing law requires the Secretary of State to adopt uniform standards for the training of precinct board members. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation requiring the Secretary of State to periodically update poll worker training standards and to monitor county adherence to these standards. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation requiring the Secretary of State to periodically update poll worker training standards and to monitor county adherence to these standards.
