 BILL NUMBER: AB 1328INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Pan FEBRUARY 18, 2011 An act to amend Section 127 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to professions and vocations. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 1328, as introduced, Pan. Professions and vocations. Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of various professions and vocations by boards and bureaus within the Department of Consumer Affairs and places the department under the control of the Director of Consumer Affairs. Existing law authorizes the director to request specified reports from these boards. This bill would make nonsubstantive, technical changes to that provision. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 127 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read: 127. Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, the director may require  such  reports from any board, commission, examining committee, or other similarly constituted agency within the department as he  or she  deems reasonably necessary on any phase of their operations.
