LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 510, as introduced, Bonnie Lowenthal. Hospitals: seismic safety. The Alfred E. Alquist Hospital Facilities Seismic Safety Act of 1983 establishes, under the jurisdiction of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, a program of seismic safety building standards for certain hospitals constructed on and after March 7, 1973. This bill would provide that it is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would amend the Alfred E. Alquist Seismic Safety Act of 1983. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would amend the Alfred E. Alquist Hospital Seismic Safety Act of 1983 (Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 129675) of Part 7 of Division 107 of the Health and Safety Code).
