 BILL NUMBER: SB 1399INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Anderson FEBRUARY 24, 2012 An act to amend Section 19820 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to gambling. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 1399, as introduced, Anderson. California Gambling Control Commission. Existing law establishes the California Gambling Control Commission and grants the commission jurisdiction over the supervision, operation, and concentration of gambling establishments in the state. Existing law authorizes the commission to employ not more than 8 attorneys. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to this provision. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 19820 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read: 19820. The commission may employ not more than eight attorneys. Nothing in this section shall be deemed to exempt the commission from the operation of  Section   Sections  11040, 11042,  or   and  11043 of the Government Code.
