 BILL NUMBER: SB 368INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Pavley FEBRUARY 20, 2013 An act relating to special education. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 368, as introduced, Pavley. Special education credentialing. Existing law prescribes requirements for the credentialing and qualifications of special education teachers in the state. This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would provide for an increased number of persons who can become credentialed special education teachers by creating multiple pathways for the training and credentialing of special education teachers in the state. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would provide for an increased number of persons who can become credentialed special education teachers by creating multiple pathways for the training and credentialing of special education teachers in the state.
