LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2683, as introduced, Chu. Traffic safety programs. Existing law requires traffic safety programs that receive state funds and include public awareness campaigns involving emergency vehicle operations to include in the public awareness campaign information on the risks peace officer motor vehicle pursuits pose to public safety, and the penalties that may result from evading a peace officer. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2911 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read: 2911.  All traffic   Traffic  safety programs that receive state funds and  that  include public awareness campaigns involving emergency vehicle operations shall include in the public awareness  campaign,   campaign  information on the risks  peace officer motor vehicle pursuits pose  to public  safety of peace officer motor vehicle pursuits,   safety,  and the penalties that may result from evading a peace officer.
