Existing law regulates railroad employee hours, and sets forth various penalties for violation of those provisions. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 600 of the Labor Code is amended to read: 600. As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise  indicates:   indicates, the following definitions shall apply:  (a) "Railroad" means any steam railroad, electric railroad, or railway, operated in whole or in part in this  State.   state.  (b) "Railroad corporation" means a corporation or receiver operating a railroad. (c) "Trainman" means a conductor, motorman, engineer, fireman, brakeman, train dispatcher, or telegraph operator, employed by or working in connection with a railroad.
