The bill would also require every local government agency that publishes an electronic newsletter to include the notice in the electronic newsletter. By imposing new duties on local government agencies, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.A violation of the Political Reform Act of 1974 is punishable as a misdemeanor. By expanding the scope of an existing crime, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.The California Constitution requires the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs mandated by the state.
