Digest KeyBill TextWHEREAS, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, (IBEW) Local 1245, and the Union of Electrical Workers and Related Activities in El Salvador, (STESEC), have entered into a sister relationship to promote mutual understanding, support and solidarity; andWHEREAS, IBEW 1245 and STESEC share the common purpose of securing the highest standards of safety, service, community well-being, and social and economic justice for our members, our families, and the broader community; and WHEREAS, IBEW 1245 and STESEC are committed to advancing sustainable and reliable energy sources as the power industry develops new technologies to protect our environment and our communities in the 21st Century; and WHEREAS, IBEW 1245 and STESEC play an indispensable role in the development of sound policy as we shape the clean energy sources and union jobs of the future; now, therefore, be itResolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Assembly commends IBEW 1245 and STESEC for their pioneering efforts to share best practices and build bridges and cross-cultural ties; and be it furtherResolved, That the Assembly recognizes IBEW 1245 and STESEC for their tireless efforts to represent workers in the power industry, to educate membership, and encourage their fuller participation in the political process, and to strengthen the labor movement as a fundamental element of a healthy democracy; and be it furtherResolved, That the Assembly supports and encourages the development of sister relationships that contribute to the well-being of workers in the power industry, to the strengthening of the labor movement as an indispensable voice for working families, and the formation of responsible citizenship; and be it furtherResolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.

WHEREAS, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, (IBEW) Local 1245, and the Union of Electrical Workers and Related Activities in El Salvador, (STESEC), have entered into a sister relationship to promote mutual understanding, support and solidarity; and
