Existing law requires each community college district that administers a priority enrollment system to grant priority in that system for registration for enrollment to any student who is a recipient of aid under the CalWORKs program, as defined.This bill would also require each community college district that administers a priority enrollment system to grant priority in that system for registration for enrollment to any student who is a recipient of aid under the Tribal TANF program, as defined. Because this bill would impose new duties on community college districts that administer priority enrollment systems, it would constitute a state-mandated local program.(2) The California Constitution requires the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs mandated by the state.
