Existing law requires the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission to establish criteria for the grant program and requires that applicants for the program submit a plan that, among other things, describes the need for mental health services for children and youth, including campus-based mental health services.This bill would require a school district, charter school, or county office of education that receives a grant under the program to submit an annual data report to the Legislature indicating how the funds were used, including, among other things, the amount of grant funds received and the number of mental health service workers that were compensated with those funds.
