Existing law requires the Governor to appoint 2 public members and 5 licensed members of the board and requires the Senate Rules Committee and Speaker of the Assembly to each appoint a public member. Existing law requires the board to make all expenditures to carry out the law. Existing law, on January 1, 2021, repeals the provisions providing for the enforcement and regulation of the law by the Board of Psychology and requiring the board to make all expenditures to carry out the law. This bill would specify that each appointing authority has the authority to remove from office at any time any member of the board appointed by that authority.
