                    CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE 20192020 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 791Introduced by Assembly Member GabrielFebruary 20, 2019 An act relating to economic development.LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTAB 791, as introduced, Gabriel. California Opportunity Zones: investment.Existing law, the Economic Revitalization Act, authorizes the Governors Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to develop content, as provided, to inform the public about place-based and other geographically targeted economic development programs, including federal Promise Zones and Opportunity Zones designated within California by specified federal entities. Existing law requires GO-Biz to at least annually convene representatives from various programs and agencies across the state and from various federal programs and agencies for the purpose of discussing how California can leverage Promise Zones and Opportunity Zones to meet state and local community and economic development needs.
