These students will have completed career technical education pathways as high school pupils.

(a) The Anaheim Union High School District shall select the students who receive internships under the program in accordance with procedures and criteria it develops in consultation with the participating institutions of higher education. These procedures shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the submission and review of applications by interested pupils or students and interviews of the applicants by appropriate personnel of the Anaheim Union High School District and the participating institutions of higher education.(b) The Anaheim Union High School District shall submit a written report, including its findings and recommendations relating to the effectiveness of the program, to the chairpersons of the education policy committees of the Assembly and the Senate. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would increase overall state funding for elementary and secondary education to support hiring more teachers in the states public schools.
