The account shall receive all donations from public and private entities for, and all revenue generated by, the California Housing Crisis Awareness specialized license plate.(d) Upon determination by the department that sufficient funds have been deposited into the California Housing Crisis Awareness Specialized License Plate Account to fund the necessary administrative costs of establishing the California Housing Crisis Awareness specialized license plate, moneys in the California Housing Crisis Awareness License Plate Account shall be available, upon appropriation by the Legislature, to the department for the necessary administrative costs of establishing the California Housing Crisis Awareness specialized license plate.(e) The fees specified in subdivision (a) of Section 5157 shall be imposed for the issuance, renewal, or transfer of the specialized license plate authorized by this section. After deducting its ongoing administrative costs for providing the specialized license plate authorized by this section, the department shall transfer any additional revenue from the California Housing Crisis Awareness Specialized License Plate Account to the Building Homes and Jobs Trust Fund, established by paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 50470 of the Health and Safety Code, to be used, upon appropriation by the Legislature, for the projects and programs specified in subparagraph (A) of paragraph (2) of subdivision (b) of Section 50470 of the Health and Safety Code. | |
