LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTAB 807, as introduced, Grayson. Bar pilots: pilotage rates: adjustment.Existing law provides for the regulation and licensing of pilots for Monterey Bay and the Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo, and Suisun and for the payment of specified pilotage rates and charges imposed on vessels piloted in those bays. Existing law prescribes the rates of bar pilotage fees required to be charged by pilots and paid by vessels inward and outward bound through those bays and authorizes those rates to be adjusted, as prescribed, if there has been a catastrophic cost increase to the pilots that would result in at least a 2% increase in the overall annual cost of providing pilot services.This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation relating to the adjustment of bar pilotage rates for Monterey Bay and the Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo, and Suisun due to a catastrophic cost increase to bar pilots.Digest Key Vote: MAJORITY  Appropriation: NO  Fiscal Committee: NO  Local Program: NO Bill TextThe people of the State of California do enact as follows:SECTION 1.
