Establishing the Distressed Hospital Grant Program to award grants to distressed hospitals to prevent the reduction of services or cessation of operations; and making an appropriation.
Provides allowances for certain redevelopment projects undertaken by institutions of higher education or distressed hospitals under New Jersey Aspire program.
Authorizes the Superior Court to place a hospital into receivership upon action by the attorney general or department of health when a hospital is mismanaged, financially distressed, acting illegally, or endangering patient health and safety.
