Section 2035 is added to the Insurance Code, to read:2035. (a) An admitted insurer shall notify a residential property insurance policyholder that an unmanned aircraft will be used to take images of the insured property.(1) The notice shall be mailed via the United States Postal Service to the policyholders mailing address of record. The policyholder shall receive the notice at least 30 days in advance of the day that images will be taken. The insurer may additionally provide notice to the policyholder via electronic mail.(2) The insurer shall provide the unmanned aircraft images, if any are taken, to the policyholder upon request.
