| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Representative Lewis was born on March 19, 1957,4 |

| 14 | 14 | | in La Junta, Colorado, to Kenneth and Jewell Clark; and5 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Representative Lewis was raised on her family's6 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | cattle ranch halfway between Kim and La Junta, Colorado, where she and7 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | her three older sisters worked as ranch hands; and8 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, While attending Kim High School, Representative9 |

| 19 | 19 | | Lewis started her first cow herd, was the Most Valuable Basketball Player10 |

| 50 | 41 | | WHEREAS, In 2016, Representative Lewis ran for and was14 |

| 51 | 42 | | elected to the State House of Representatives where she served as the15 |

| 52 | 43 | | Representative for House District 64, and was reelected to a second term16 |

|---|
| 54 | 45 | | WHEREAS, While serving as a State Representative,18 |

| 55 | 46 | | Representative Lewis served on several committees, including19 |

| 56 | 47 | | Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources; Public Heath Care and20 |

| 57 | 48 | | Human Services; Transportation and Energy; Rural Affairs and21 |

| 58 | 49 | | Agriculture; and Transportation and Local Government, and sponsored22 |

| 59 | 50 | | bills on beef country-of-origin and private property rights issues; and23 |

| 60 | 51 | | WHEREAS, Representative Lewis battled breast cancer three24 |
