14-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
15-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 26-11-208, amend (1),
16-(2) introductory portion, (2)(e), (3), (5)(a), (5)(c), and (5)(d); repeal (6); and
17-add (2)(g) and (2)(h) as follows:
18-26-11-208. Strategic investments in aging grant program - fund
19-created - report - definitions. (1) As used in this section, unless the
20-context otherwise requires:
21-(a) "Eligible organization" means an area agency on aging, as

3866 (b) "Fund" means the area agency on

41-(c) "Grant program" or "program" means the area agency on
42-STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS IN aging grant program created in subsection (2)

44-(2) The area agency on STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS IN aging grant
45-program is established in the state office. The state office shall establish and
46-administer the grant program. The purpose of the grant program is to
47-provide state assistance received in the form of grant awards to finance
48-various projects across the state that are intended to assist and support older
49-Coloradans. The grant program is intended to support projects that promote
50-the health,
51-EQUITY, well-being, and security of older Coloradans across the
52-state
53-THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
54-STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN ON AGING
55-, DEVELOPED PURSUANT TO SECTION
56-24-32-3406, AS THAT SECTION EXISTED PRIOR TO JULY 1, 2022, AND THE

64-(3) (a) By October 31, 2021, The state office shall: collaborate with
65-area agencies on aging described in section 26-11-204 to:
66-(I) Adopt policies and procedures for the administration of the
67-program;
68-(II) Establish and publicize criteria for the program; and CREATE

85112 (b) On or before January 1, 2022, the state office shall:
86-(I) Begin accepting grant applications; and
87-(II) Verify that each accepted application meets the criteria
88-established in subsection (3)(a) of this section.
89-(c) In making an award, the state office shall specify the amount of
90-each grant.
91-(d) (b) During the 2023 regular legislative session BEGINNING IN
92-JANUARY 2023, AND EVERY JANUARY THEREAFTER, the state department
93-shall include in its report to the committees of reference pursuant to the
94-"State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent
95-(SMART) Government Act" hearing required by section 2-7-203
96-information from the state office regarding the grant program, as set forth
