17	17		Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Seventy-third General1
18	18		Assembly of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives2
19	19		concurring herein:3
20	20		(1) That, pursuant to the provisions of section 2-2-305, Colorado4
21	21		Revised Statutes, the following positions are hereby created for the5
22	22		Second Regular Session of the Seventy-third General Assembly with the6
23	23		monthly compensation to be paid to the persons elected or appointed to7
24	24		each position in the range set opposite the position:8

118	109		Representatives are authorized to hire Legislative Aides pursuant to Joint34
119	110		Rule 39 of the House of Representatives and the Senate. If Legislative35
120	111		Aides are authorized by the Executive Committee, acting in accordance36
121	112		with such Joint Rule 39, to start prior to the convening of the next regular37
122	113		session, they may be paid at the rate specified in this resolution from the38
123	114		date they are authorized to start.39

125	116		-3- (2) That the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the House1
126	117		of Representatives remain in such capacity after adjournment of the2
127	118		General Assembly sine die until the convening of the First Regular3
128	119		Session of the Seventy-fourth General Assembly in January, 2023.4
129	120		(3) That the President of the Senate and the Chair of the House5
130	121		Services Committee, with the authorization of the Speaker of the House6
131	122		of Representatives, are hereby separately authorized to retain and hire7
132	123		replacements for such employees for such period of time in the interim8
133	124		between the Second Regular Session of the Seventy-third General9
134	125		Assembly and the First Regular Session of the Seventy-fourth General10
135	126		Assembly as they deem necessary for their respective houses; except that11
136	127		the office equipment of the General Assembly and the services of such12
137	128		employees shall be used only in connection with official legislative13
138	129		business.14
139	130		(4) That the President of the Senate and the Chair of the House15
140	131		Services Committee, with the authorization of the Speaker of the House16
141	132		of Representatives, are hereby separately authorized to hire such17
142	133		session-only employees for the next regular session as they deem18
143	134		necessary for their respective houses and who may start their employment19
144	135		on the date authorized.20
