---|
67 | 67 | | or accelerator licenses, and recommendations for new or innovative |

68 | 68 | | funding sources for the social equity program. The department is required |

69 | 69 | | to convene a new, or utilize an existing, working group of persons to |

70 | 70 | | develop recommendations for the annual report. |

71 | 71 | | Effective April 1, 2025, the bill amends the eligibility requirements |
---|
72 | 72 | | for a person to qualify as a social equity licensee. The new eligibility |
---|
73 | 73 | | HB24-1061-2- requirements do not apply to licensee applications or licenses issued |

74 | 74 | | before April 1, 2025, except for a limited exception. |

75 | 75 | | The bill eliminates the $1 surcharge applied on deliveries. |

84 | 84 | | The bill creates a tax credit for an accelerator-endorsed licensee |

85 | 85 | | who hosts and offers technical and capital support to a social equity |

86 | 86 | | licensee for at least 12 consecutive months. An eligible |

87 | 87 | | accelerator-endorsed licensee may claim up to $50,000 and may carry it |

88 | 88 | | forward as a credit against subsequent years' income tax liability for a |

89 | 89 | | period not exceeding 5 years. The tax credit may be claimed for tax years |
