24	24		Statutory Revision Committee. The bill extends the repeal date
25	25		of the reporting section of the "Colorado Child Abuse Prevention Trust
26	26		Fund Act" from July 1, 2027, to July 1, 2030, to account for the deadline
27	27		extension of the report evaluating the Colorado child abuse prevention
28	28		trust fund from November 1, 2026, to November 1, 2029, as enacted by

43	40		SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, amend 26.5-3-2082
44	41		as follows:3
45	42		26.5-3-208. Report. (1) The department shall contract for an4
46	43		independent evaluation of the C
47	44		OLORADO CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION trust5
48	45		fund
49	46		CREATED IN SECTION 26.5-3-206, AS IT EXISTED PRIOR TO ITS REPEAL6
50	47		ON JULY 1, 2027, including administrative costs of operating the trust fund7
51	48		and the cost-effectiveness and the impact of the grants on reducing and8
52	49		preventing child abuse. The department shall provide a report of the9
53	50		evaluation to the house of representatives and senate health and human10
54	51		services committees, or any successor committees, on or before11
55	52		November 1, 2029.12

67	64		SECTION 3. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act20
68	65		takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the21
69	66		ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except22
70	67		that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V23
71	68		of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this24
72	69		act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take25
73	70		1305-2- effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in1
74	71		November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the2
75	72		official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.3
