To the extent feasible, the department must determine that there are no suitable beds available in other DOC facilities before transferring an inmate to Centennial South. This authority is repealed June 30, 2027. State Expenditures In FY 2025-26, the bill requires $1.8 million to make the necessary renovations to the C-Tower to house additional inmates. Renovations include beds ($35,000), furniture ($49,875), telecoms ($365,500), and door control updates ($1,350,000). Effective Date The bill takes effect upon signature of the Governor, or upon becoming law without his signature. State Appropriations For FY 2025-26, the bill requires and includes a General Fund appropriation of $1,829,000 to the Department of Corrections.
