11-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
12-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 22-30.5-513.1, amend
13-(2)(b); and add (2)(c) and (2)(d) as follows:
14-22-30.5-513.1. Mill levy equalization - legislative declaration -
15-definitions. (2) (b) S
16-UBJECT TO ANNUAL APPROPRIATION , the institute shall
17-annually distribute the money appropriated for full mill levy equalization
18-pursuant to subsection (2)(a.5)(I) of this section to the institute charter
19-schools on an equal per-pupil basis,
20-EXCLUDING PUPILS ENROLLED IN
21-MULTI
22--DISTRICT ONLINE SCHOOLS, AS DEFINED IN SECTION 22-30.7-102,
23-THAT ARE AUTHORIZED BY THE INSTITUTE ; except that, in any budget year,
24-an institute charter school must not receive a per pupil amount that is
25-greater than the total amount of additional mill levy revenue, as defined in
26-NOTE: This bill has been prepared for the signatures of the appropriate legislative

44+Beginning in the 2024-25 budget year, if the institute receives
45+additional mill levy revenue from a school district for an institute charter
46+school within the geographic boundary of the school district, the general
47+assembly shall deduct the additional mill levy revenue from the amount
48+necessary to fully fund mill levy equalization.
49+The bill decreases an appropriation from the state education fund
50+to the department of education for use by the institute for mill levy
51+equalization.
