The radiation advisory committee provides the department of public health and environment (department) with technical advice related to the radiation control program implemented by the department. In Colorado Revised Statutes, repeal 25-11-105 as2 follows:3 25-11-105. Radiation advisory committee. (1) The governor4 shall appoint a radiation advisory committee of nine members, no more5 than four of whom represent any one political party and three of whom6 represent industry, three the healing arts, and three the public and private7 institutions of higher education. Members of the committee serve at the8 discretion of the governor and are reimbursed for necessary and actual9 expenses incurred in attendance at meetings or for authorized business of10 the committee. The committee shall furnish to the department such11 technical advice as may be desirable or required on matters relating to the12 radiation control program.13 (2) Repealed.14 SECTION 2. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act15 takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the16 ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except17 that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V18 of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this19 act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take20 effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in21 November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the22 official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.23 SB25-252 -2-
