5-ONCERNING THE REPEAL OF THE RADIATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE .

7-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
8-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, repeal 25-11-105 as
9-follows:
10-25-11-105. Radiation advisory committee. (1) The governor shall
11-appoint a radiation advisory committee of nine members, no more than four
12-of whom represent any one political party and three of whom represent
13-industry, three the healing arts, and three the public and private institutions
14-of higher education. Members of the committee serve at the discretion of
15-the governor and are reimbursed for necessary and actual expenses incurred
16-in attendance at meetings or for authorized business of the committee. The
17-committee shall furnish to the department such technical advice as may be
18-desirable or required on matters relating to the radiation control program.
19-(2) Repealed.

30-that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V
31-of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this act
32-within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take effect
33-unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in
34-November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the official
35-declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.

22+provides the department of public health and environment (department)

24+implemented by the department. The bill repeals the radiation advisory
