2323 The bill establishes a sales tax exemption for contractors and
2424 subcontractors that purchase construction and building materials for use
2525 in the building, erection, alteration, or repair of structures owned and used
2626 by a regional transportation authority (authority) to house authority

4141 SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 39-26-708, amend2
4242 (1) introductory portion, (1)(a), (2) introductory portion, and (2)(a) as3

4444 39-26-708. Construction and building materials - legislative5
4545 declaration - definition. (1) There shall be exempt from taxation under6
4646 the provisions of
4747 part 1 of this article ARTICLE 26 all sales of construction7
4848 and building materials to contractors and subcontractors for use in the8
4949 building, erection, alteration, or repair of structures, highways, roads,9
5050 streets, and other public works owned and used by:10
5151 (a) (I) The United States government, the state of Colorado, its11
5252 departments and institutions, and the ITS political subdivisions thereof in12
5353 their governmental capacities only;13
