49 | 49 | | relevant data and information related to the use of natural medicine from |

50 | 50 | | facilitators and healing centers. CDPHE is required to create and maintain |

51 | 51 | | a database of the information collected. CDPHE is prohibited from |
---|
52 | 52 | | sharing the information and data collected, except in certain instances, |
---|
53 | 53 | | such as sharing the information with agencies and departments for their |
---|
54 | 54 | | regulatory purposes, and only to the extent the information is necessary |
---|
55 | 55 | | for those purposes. |

56 | 56 | | The operation and maintenance of the database is scheduled to |
---|
57 | 57 | | repeal after 5 years. CDPHE may accept gifts, grants, and donations |
---|
58 | 58 | | related to the collection of the data and information, but only from private |

59 | 59 | | or public sources that do not have a financial interest in the outcomes of |
---|
60 | 60 | | the data collection. |

61 | 61 | | The bill clarifies certain statutory provisions related to the issuance |

62 | 62 | | of owner licenses and employee licenses for natural medicine businesses. |

63 | 63 | | In existing statute, an applicant for an owner license or an employee |

64 | 64 | | license must submit to a fingerprint-based criminal history background |
---|
65 | 65 | | check. The bill removes the fingerprinting requirement, but requires an |
---|
66 | 66 | | applicant for a license to complete a name-based judicial record check. |

67 | 67 | | The bill requires the state licensing authority to adopt rules related |

68 | 68 | | to product labels for regulated natural medicine and regulated natural |
