Dashes through the words or numbers indicate deletions from existing law. diverse interests in the agriculture industry, encompassing science,1 business, and technology, within and to support production farming; and2 WHEREAS, The Colorado FFA Foundation seeks human,3 financial, and in-kind resources to support agricultural education in4 Colorado for secondary and postsecondary students, adults participating5 in agricultural education, teachers of agricultural education, and FFA6 alumni; and7 WHEREAS, There are opportunities within the Colorado FFA8 Association for all members in grades five through twelve and in college9 to be involved in leadership and agriculture career development; and10 WHEREAS, Whether a member grew up on a farm, in a suburb,11 or in an urban area, if they have a passion for judging and public12 speaking, want to explore the depths of agriscience, or get hands-on13 experience working in the industry, they are able to acquire such14 experiences through the diverse opportunities of agricultural education15 and the FFA; and16 WHEREAS, We recognize that the Colorado FFA Association and17 Foundation are growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening18 agriculture through youth development; now, therefore,19 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Seventy-fifth General Assembly20 of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives concurring herein:21 That we, the members of the General Assembly, proudly recognize22 and designate "Colorado FFA Day" on March 17, 2025, in celebration of23 the many students who have gone and continue to go through the FFA24 program.25 Be It Further Resolved, That copies of this Joint Resolution be sent26 to the Honorable Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Commissioner of27 Agriculture Kate Greenberg, and the members of the Colorado28 Congressional Delegation.29 012 -2-
