1515 WHEREAS, The Colorado FFA is dedicated to making a positive1

1919 WHEREAS, Founded in 1928, the Future Farmers of America5
2020 brought together students, teachers, and agribusiness to solidify support6

2323 National FFA Organization; this change was made to recognize that FFA9

5244 WHEREAS, There are opportunities within the Colorado FFA8
5345 Association for all members in grades five through twelve and in college9
5446 to be involved in leadership and agriculture career development; and10
5547 WHEREAS, Whether a member grew up on a farm, in a suburb,11
5648 or in an urban area, if they have a passion for judging and public12
5749 speaking, want to explore the depths of agriscience, or get hands-on13
5850 experience working in the industry, they are able to acquire such14
5951 experiences through the diverse opportunities of agricultural education15

6153 WHEREAS, We recognize that the Colorado FFA Association and17
6254 Foundation are growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening18
6355 agriculture through youth development; now, therefore,19
6456 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Seventy-fifth General Assembly20
6557 of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives concurring herein:21
6658 That we, the members of the General Assembly, proudly recognize22
6759 and designate "Colorado FFA Day" on March 17, 2025, in celebration of23
6860 the many students who have gone and continue to go through the FFA24
6961 program.25
7062 Be It Further Resolved, That copies of this Joint Resolution be sent26
7163 to the Honorable Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Commissioner of27
7264 Agriculture Kate Greenberg, and the members of the Colorado28
